cPanel: Necessary Tool To Make Managing Websites Painless

cPanel is an online Linux-based control panel used mainly for web hosting. cPanel provides a graphical user interface (GUI) along with many automation tools that aim to simplify web hosting. The File Tree helps you to navigate the path where your file is located. The Current Location helps you to track where your file is located in the directory. Current Folder Content lets you see what content your current file contains and do plan your actions accordingly.

• Creating Sub-Domains in cPanel:

Once again, this is also a very easy task. From the Domains section select Sub-Domain option and type in the name. Then, select the domain under which the sub-domain is to be created. cPanel automatically creates a folder for that sub-domain in your public HTML folder. All you need to do now is to click on the Create option and you are set to roll.

• Creating a MySQL database in cPanel:

Again, cPanel is always eager to help you do this painlessly. Follow the steps below:

1. Log into cPanel and under Databases click on MySQL Database.
2. In the top right corner, you will find the Jump to the MySQL option: click on it.
3. A drop-box appears (Add New User) wherein some information is to be filled up like username, password (you have to retype it), etc.
4. Finally, click on the Create User option and the process is complete.
